Lets hear form some one that has gone to camp or have heard about the camp. Or maybe you would like to go to camp next year and don’t have NF. I Know all are welcome. Comment here please. Brian you still thinking about going next year?

  2. John Parker Says:

I will be there again and being the photographer, there will be plenty of pictures. One already drove to Dallas from Arkansas, two or three are flying in to Dallas today. This evening, planning all to go out to eat, probably at Don Tomorrow, a young man will be drop off in Irving, then we will caravan to camp, stoping in a town north of Waco to pick up two people. This will be my 13 years of camp. Did I say 13, I hope we will have good luck, no rain.

  3. John Parker Says:

If the trend continue, Texas NF Camp is usually held the weekend after Labor Day. So, in 2008, Camp will be September 5 – 7, 2008.

  4. Reggie Bibbs Says:

Let’s hope the trend will only get better. We are going to have a terrific! time and it will not Rain.

  5. Brian Says:

yeah Reggie I am thinking about going next year but dont know for sure

  6. Reggie Bibbs Says:

Brian, I will let you know every detail. I hear the cabins are really nice and cool. Maybe someone that went last year will post.

  7. Brian Says:

thanks Reggie that would be great but the only downfall is the food there I can not have anything with wheat I am allergic to wheat it makes me feel really bad if I accidently eat something with wheat so that would be the only downfall for me going to camp

  8. John Parker Says:

I will testify to that. Cabins are cool. The cabins are ac in the summer heater in the winter. Each cabins can sleep 12, 3 people can shower at the same time, 3 can do what they need to do, while another 3 can use the shink. Those who came to the old camp, one one shower stall, one restroom, and one shink. The camp also handicap accessible vs the other camp was not.

  9. John Parker Says:

As for allergies, if you let the Texas NF Office know ahead of time, they will make provisions for food allergies.

  10. John Parker Says:

This evening, Jenny from Indiana, Kristy also from the north somewhere, John from West Virginia, Bea and two daughters from Arkansas, and Chad from Fort Worth met at the Olive Garden here in Irving. WIll be caravan to camp tomorrow, I will pick up three more people for camp.

  11. Brian Says:

thanks John I will keep that in mind about the food allergies

  12. adgiant Says:

John, I have an allergy as well but I’m not sure if the foundation can do anything about it. You see, I’m allergic to
Reggie. Not just mildly but majorly. I get sick to my stomach just hearing his voice. I need to drink 2 or 3 martinis just to keep from heaving! Any advice you can give would be most appreciated!!!

  13. Reggie Bibbs Says:

Just say you like to get wasted on martinis. Don’t use me as your reasons to get plastered every weekend.

  14. Reggie Bibbs Says:

I know they will work something out for you, when you decide to come to camp.

  15. Shelley Says:

    Get him good Reggie

  16. adgiant Says:

It’s not like I enjoy drinking martinis, it’s just that the olives help me fullfill my fiber quota.

  17. Shelley Says:

    AW Lou

  18. Shelley Says:

    Hey Brian How are ya

  19. adgiant Says:

When did Reggie all of a sudden become wise? That actually was a very good comeback.

  20. Shelley Says:

He allways had it in him Lou lol

  21. Reggie Bibbs Says:

  25. Reggie Bibbs Says:

Shelley, You are playing a big part in my effort to create awareness. Thank you for adding to me blog. You don’t have to have NF to come to camp. You can be a friend are just show your support. We have to to make sure we keep you know who in line.

  28. JP Says:

Shelly, you do not have to have NF to come to camp. You can come to camp as Reggie friend, or friends to NF.

  29. Shelley Says:

I will think about it would need info

  30. Shelley Says:

    Would Lou come too?

  31. John Says:

Remind us in May or June 2008 for the info. The dates will be September 5 – 7, 2008. Same place. Cost $100.00 (if they do not raise the price).

  32. Patricia Stokley Says:

what all does the $100 cover and it is for each person, if you live closer by could you just come up for the day and ect ect ect I would like to know more about this camp, maybe next year I could bring my mother and her huspand they both have nf also, i dont know if my daughter would come cause she says she has a very busy life lol she be 21 in oct. and thinks she all grown up

  33. Reggie Bibbs Says:

Patricia It was my first time going to that camp. I am so happyu I went this time. I loved it. The staff of the camp is unlike any other you will meet. They are so nice and they get involved in the games and just the time there great. My friends have been talking to me for two or three years about comming to the new camp. You get meals cabin space cold juices tea anytime you want it. Horseback riding swimming arts and crafts and a lot more. You will have fun.

  34. John Says:

Yes, you can come for the day, Saturday, and enjoy the same activities as the rest. I do not know the cost of this. You would want to come early, arrive by 8:30 in the morning. Activities starts at 9am. I think next year, will do the group pictures at that time, rather than 1pm since it may be cooler at 9am.

  35. Patricia Stokley Says:

sounds good and also people would probally look better first thing in the morning, like school pitcures, I send my kids to school looking nice, by the time they got their pitcures taken, they were a wreck, kids lol

  36. Shelley Says:

    Lou you are being quiet

  37. Reggie Bibbs Says:

    Sheeee! Don’t get him started.

  38. Shelley Says:

    Aw why not

  39. Patricia Stokley Says:

come on lou where are you, i know you have something to say

  40. Shelley Says:

Lou is playing with the voodoo doll of Reggie

  41. Reggie Bibbs Says:

Hey yall he just uses the voodoo doll as an excuse He may just want to do hair styling on the side.

  42. Shelley Says:

Lou the voodoo doll would look better if it had hair on its head

  43. Shelley Says:

    Yall being good ?

  44. John Says:

    Hey Reggie,

Did anyone fall outta a canoe into that red water. If so they probably have red hair now and look they’re bleeding to death!

I remember taking you in a canoe once and you were so scared the whole canoe shook!

    Pappy

  45. John P Says:

Earlier I said..”If the trend continue, Texas NF Camp is usually held the weekend after Labor Day. So, in 2008, Camp will be September 5 – 7, 2008.”
For some reason, when I said this, it will change. I just received a note from the Texas NF office, the dates tentaatively set for September 12 -14, 2008 a week later than what it is. I will ask about this is this fact.

  46. Reggie Bibbs Says:

I also received a note about the camp dates. Any one of the two will work for me.

  47. John P Says:

The new dates will cost me two vacation days vs one vacation if the regional dates planned continues. Also on that particular Saturday, 13th I will have hard time to get that one off.

  48. John P Says:

I brought this to the Texas NF attention on the dates, they will get back with me on that. Lets hope it will be the orignal dates, weekend afer Labor Day (Sept 5 -7), 2008

  49. Reggie Bibbs Says:

Lets hope they keep the same dates. Why are they changing the dates any way.

  50. John P Says:

It could be a oversight, in the past 3 years, thinking the camp fell on the 2nd weekend, so she just look at the 2nd weekend on the calendar and saw 12-14, instead the weekend just after Labor Day. In 2008, Labor Day (1st Monday) will be Sept. 1. So we should be on the dates I mentioned Sept 5-7, 2008. We can not break the tradition, I can not recall the dates before Camp For All, I think the last several years at Camp Camp it fell on the weekend after Labor Day.

  51. Reggie Bibbs Says:

to Comment 44. Yea I remember that. Even thought you stayed close to the sides. Its funny now that I think about it. At the time I wasn’t to fund of that. The cook out was fun.
