  1. Shelley Says:

Glad you had a good time Reggie

  2. John Parker Says:

It was great seeing you at camp after many years. This is lot better than the old camp, right ? Time is now for those who were unable to come to start planning for 2008.

  3. Reggie Bibbs Says:

I know more will come next year. What I love most is, you could always find a place to cool off. CAMP FOR ALL, RULES!

  4. Patricia Stokley Says:

how long does this camp last, maybe I will be able to come next year

  5. Reggie Bibbs Says:

Patrica we had a blast. I’m sure someone will post about the great time we had. I would love to see you join in the fun next year.

  6. Reggie Bibbs Says:

I took a lot of photos of sll the fun. More will be added later. Check them out on my photo page.

  7. adgiant Says:

Lookin’ tall in the saddle there, Reg!

  8. John Parker Says:

Camp is just for the weekend, starting on Friday and ending on Sunday. I know, its too short of time. Again, we luck out of no rain. On the way home, the rain hit us as we got into the DFW area. I took close to 400 photos, I will try to send selected shots to Reggie. I believe the dates for 2008 will be Sept. 5 – 7.

  9. Reggie Bibbs Says:

    Cool Thanks John.

  10. Brian Says:

hey Reggie email me and give me all the details as you said you would let me know when you came back from camp glad you had a good time I am seriously thinking about next year but don’t know for sure

  11. adgiant Says:

John, can you upload your camp photos to Reggie’s Flickr account?

  12. Shelley Says:

Reggie looks like cowboy on the horse

  13. Reggie Bibbs Says:

I put the cow in the word cowboy.

  14. adgiant Says:

No, I think it’s more like you put the cow in the word “cow pattie.”

  15. Reggie Bibbs Says:

How about a cow pattie on your front porch in a brown patter bag.

  16. Shelley Says:

Still think Reggie and Lou need a chaparone to keep them out of trouble

  17. Reggie Bibbs Says:

Shelley go take a look at the new photos from camp. My friend John provided me the latest photos. Thanks John.

  18. Shelley Says:

Hey Reggie I was hoping that a pic of Lou with a cream pie in his face

  19. JP Says:

Maybe get Lou to come to camp next year, and do the pie in the face, I will get that on film, or pixels…

  20. Shelley Says:

  22. Shelley Says:

  23. Patricia Stokley Says:

I thik Boxers are cool, they really are cute, I hope you get one

  24. Reggie Bibbs Says:

I would love to have a Lab, Chocolate of White. Golder retriever. Are they all the same? Stanley would be a terrific dog to have as well. Lou knows who I’m talking about

  25. adgiant Says:

Stanley is my daughter’s dog. He likes everyone, even Reggie! I guess there’s no accounting for taste even in the dog world. Stanley likes Reggie, dogs eat cat poop…you get the picture.

  26. Reggie Bibbs Says:

Hey Lou did you see the package? If you didn’t see it, then its not there.

  27. Patricia Stokley Says:

Golden Retrievers and Labs are differnt but they are very good dogs, they both make excellent pets, I have had a couple of labs, my neighbor had a golden retriever, all good dogs

  28. Shelley Says:

Why pick on Reggie ? lol

  29. adgiant Says:

    Because he’s there, Shelley.

  30. Reggie Bibbs Says:

    Don’t get me started adgiant!

  31. Shelley Says:

    (_____)? (___)? (___)? (____)? fresh coffee

  32. Brian Says:

  36. Patricia Stokley Says:

  37. Brian Says:

yeah I thought about nameing her after my other boxer that died which was JoJo but not sure yet

  38. Shelley Says:

Wondering if Reggie and Lou are behaving maybe not lol

  39. Reggie Bibbs Says:

I know I am. We all know Lou is not and never will. Thay is why he needs the pie.

  40. Shelley Says:

Dont waste a pie throwing him in the pool would be better

  41. Reggie Bibbs Says:

No we lill like that with the hot weather we are having. I think the oie would be better.

  42. Shelley Says:

I was talking about throwing him in the pool either Dec or Jan when its cold

  43. Reggie Bibbs Says:

Oh ok, that sounds like a winner. I’m still drinking coffee.

  44. John Luera Says:

hey reggie its john from circuit city just topping by to ask hows the camera doing. like the pics

  45. Reggie Bibbs Says:

Hey John, Thank you very much I love my camera. My niece had her birthday party and I took pictures. Check them out on my photo page. Make sure you tell your boss I bought the camera because of you. You stop and offered to help me. You took your time and help me pick the right camera. I’m trying to figure out if I can make double exposers or mutable exposers. Again Thanks John and I’m sure you will see me again in the store. Check out everything my site has to offer.

  46. Patricia Stokley Says:

hey, reggie what kind of camera do you have, i got a nikon d-50 a little while back, they no longer make that kind, i also got a book i just need to make time to read the book and practice,

  47. John P Says:

hmmmmmm. double exposure….there was a way on the film cameras, but not sure on digital. I remember seeing something about over laying, but never tried it. These use different terms on digital vs film. Noise on digital and on film it is called grain.

  48. Reggie Bibbs Says:

Thanks John. I will just have to keep reading till I find out.
I should have ask you when I first thought about it. An expert around me and I didn’t think to ask.

  49. Reggie Bibbs Says:

Patricia I have a Canon Power Shot A560. I got it from Circuit City in Houston Texas.

  50. adgiant Says:

Hey John L, thanks for taking good care of our friend, Reggie. After he came home from Circuit City, he gave me a call telling me about the wonderful treatment he received and the good advice. The camera you helped him pick out is great. Now if we can only get Reggie to starting taking photos of hot looking babes!

  51. Shelley Says:

    Oh yeah Lou

  52. Patricia Stokley Says:

well, shelley i think if he takes pics of girls, he should also take some of hot man for us, i hear the houston fireman calender should be coming out soon, maybe he can ask them to pose. lol

  53. Shelley Says:

True Patricia we need pics of the guys lol

  54. Brian Says:

hey Shelley I did not get the dog from the shelter I am going to save some money and buy a boxer puppy that way I can pottie train her and train her to be house broken I have been looking but some are to expensive I saw one ad for boxer puppies for 850.00 to much

  55. Shelley Says:

    That would be good Brian

  56. Brian Says:

Shelley when I get my boxer puppy I will take a picture and send it to Reggie and see if he will put it in his photos and you can see her when I get her

  57. Shelley Says:

    I would love that Brian

  58. John Says:

Reggie, I got think about double-exposures or in my NIKON D80 refers to multi-exposures. It can do that, then I look for my point and shoot digital camera (P4), there were no instructions since it probably means it can not do multi-exposures on it.

  59. Shelley Says:

    HI

  60. adgiant Says:

Reggie, where the hell are you?!!!!

  61. Shelley Says:

  90. Patricia Stokley Says:

???????? I have only receantly really started researching NF, I grew up under the impression Nf was just a skin disease, my mother still cause it her skin disease, but since I have been having complications I have been surfing, I came across this website, nexgenispharm.com, NexGenix, could this be true or is it a hoax, I am looking for advice, what do yall think???????????????????????

  91. Reggie Bibbs Says:

I never heard of that site. I’m sure everyone would like to know how true it is. I will go take a look at it just to see what they are saying.

  92. Brian Says:

welcome back Lou and I have never heard of that website either

  93. adgiant Says:

    Thanks, Brian. Been busy.

  94. Shelley Says:

Reggie do you call Lou on the phone every 5 mins ?

  97. adgiant Says:

  98. Patricia Stokley Says:

Ha Ha He He lol, Just make mine with salt and pepper curly shoulder length hair, go a head give me a beard and musache and put a black hat on top. that would be a good likeness for you to stick pins in lol

  99. Shelley Says:

It is good to feel welcome Reg, thank you so much, you are really doing a great job, It is nice to belong somewhere where you don’t feel so different from everybody else. Thanks Reggie

  108. Reggie Bibbs Says:

This is really good to hear. When I hear this from someone other then a family member or from friends I feel its really true. Some time I felt they are just saying that to stroke my ego. I guess that is not the case. I feel TERRIFIC! Thank you for the kind commend.

  109. Shelley Says:

    Amen Patricia

  110. Shelley Says:

Shelley do you have plans for your B-Day

  122. Reggie Bibbs Says:

My sister has a birthday on the 21st. She is a little older then 21 though. I’m planing a trip for next year. Its going to be a big one. I will have to let every one guess.

  123. Reggie Bibbs Says:

The bennihanas sounds like a great place to visit. I had a friend that went and she loved it.

  124. Shelley Says:

Maybe go eat seafood dont know what family bought yet

  125. Patricia Stokley Says:

I love seafood, My family had a shrimp boat and fish house in my teenage years, i miss fresh seafood, my favorite seafood place is Babbins. I hope you have fun

  126. Reggie Bibbs Says:

I love shrimp fish and crab if its cooked right. Shrimp must be stuffed sea food must be fried. yummy.

  127. Shelley Says:

    AW Reggie

  128. Reggie Bibbs Says:

    Really I do.

  129. John P Says:

You can boil it, broil it, fried it, stir fried, bbq it, …. wait a minute, that line came from Forest Gump, where Bubba was telling Forest the many ways to fix shrimp..In Honlulu, there is a Bubba Gump Shrimp place, have not been there.

  130. Reggie Bibbs Says:

It may be better for you if you cook it with out frying it. bbq it sounds good.

  131. Shelley Says:

    Yall making hungry

  132. Reggie Bibbs Says:

    I’m making myself hungry

  133. Patricia Stokley Says:

omment to #130, fried is just about the best way, deep fried or covered with cream sauce, every way I like it best is not good for you I guess the old rule, if it taste good then is not good for you, lol

  134. Reggie Bibbs Says:

AMEN! If its friend and have a cream sauce it is sooooooooo good. Which make me think about the little wings hot wings diped in the white thick dressing. On my god. talk about good eating.

  135. Shelley Says:

Hows everybody blood sugar and clestolal

  136. John P Says:

    Probably off the chart.

  137. Reggie Bibbs Says:

Yea mine too. Thank you John for adding comments to the blog as ofter as you do. Just like my other friends here.

  138. Patricia Stokley Says:

my has the tendency to drop on the low side (45 the lowest i know about) my husband is diebetic (spl) but we should be on the same diet, which to me is just so wrong, i should be able to have all sugar i want lol

  139. John P Says:

Reggie probably can also add to his experience. When I go to a new doctor, or emergency for what ever reason, they ask do you have any medical conditions. Oh yeah, I have Neurofibromatosis. They say Neuro – what ? How do you spell it? Thats N E U R O F I…….. Then what is it?
Just say I have it, I do not think this is related to what I am in here for. I find, that more dentist and some of there assistants know more and heard more about NF than the regular medical staff do at the hospitals. Maybe they come across to more NF patients since most (I say most because I dont) go to the dentist regularily (sp).

  140. Reggie Bibbs Says:

What makes is different for me is, When I went to the ER it was at MD Anderson. A hospital I go to on a regular bases. They know my medical history. I also go the dental clinic there. I guess you can say Lucky for me. I would hate to have to go to a hospital where they don’t know me. When I go to MD Anderson some of the workers there tease me. They say are you sure you are not an employee. I go alone with them and say. I feel like one.

  141. John P Says:

Since 2001, been using the same primary doctor and the same neurologist so I usually do not have to go through the rountine, and last time for emergency been 6 years. I thought maybe like when we have those NF sysmposium (it was in Houston this year, next year 2008 will be in Dallas), to combine the symposium and camp together. Just a thought. But then, I rather do the horseback riding, other activites then listen to bunch of doctors talk which I would fall asleep anyway….lol

  142. Shelley Says:

Reggie and John I dont have NF but I hate going to the DR as much as you do

  143. Reggie Bibbs Says:

Yea I know what you mean. No one likes to go to the doctor, Only if the are getting Terrific news.

  144. Shelley Says:

    Amen Reggie

  145. Patricia Stokley Says:

Good doctors are hard to find I am in the market AGAIN, anyone know of a good one in Conroe, Texas,

  146. Patricia Stokley Says:

Shelley I know you don’t have nf, but I know you would take it in place of your son, if I could I would take a worse case if it ment my daughter would not have it, watching our children with nf is so much painful then having it us ourselves, you are one of us, I feel like we are a family, and you are a part of the family. You, yourself may not have nf, but it does affect you. I bet you are a terrific mother

  147. Shelley Says:

I myself dont have kids I have a neice who i love as my own

  148. Shelley Says:

    I enjoy being with yall

  149. Patricia Stokley Says:

I am so sorry, sometimes I get confused, please forgive

  150. Reggie Bibbs Says:

I second that emotion! Shelley use to email me all the time. And I still get emails from her. I count Shelley as one of my friends. I ask her to comment on my blog and she has been very faithful to all of us, by being a part of this blog. Shelly may not have NF, but we love the support we get. Thank you Patricia thank you for your nice comment about Shelley.

I know my mom told me the same thing. She would take everything I had to go through. I say no way! I would say I would keep it the way it is. The only thing is that I would hope that I was the only one with NF. And my nieces and Nephews would not have to worry about the disorder.

  151. Patricia Stokley Says:

Shelley I still think of you and this who blog as we are a family

  152. Reggie Bibbs Says:

dido! Me too Patricia. Shelley has to accept that she is in the fold. Family. I’m Sure she has already accepted that.

  153. Shelley Says:

AW now yall are making me blush

  154. Patricia Stokley Says:

I glad you’re back I thought i might have put my foot in my mouth, I am always saying something stupid. Sometimes it is best to ignore me, I really do get confusssed

  155. Shelley Says:

I aint going anywhere I accept yall

  156. Shelley Says:

    Dont worry about it Patricia

  157. Shelley Says:

Thank you everybody for having me

  158. Patricia Stokley Says:

    thanx

  159. Shelley Says:

  168. Patricia Stokley Says:

Jacksonville got another toucdown, I just could’nt stand to watch it anymore, If my team is not winning, i don’t like to watch I just can’t stand the agony lol

  169. Reggie Bibbs Says:

I know what you mean. I don’t want to watch if my team is not the winning team.

  170. Reggie Bibbs Says:

for comment 165. Shelley I’m trying this creamer I just found. Its coffee mate in the dairy section and its Blueberry cobbler. Its very good. You don’t have to use very much sugar.

  171. Shelley Says:

    Cool Reggie

  172. Patricia Stokley Says:

I have seen, but havn’t tried it, let us know how good it is

  173. Reggie Bibbs Says:

Its very good. When I drink it I’m thinking blueberry muffin. yummy.

  174. Reggie Bibbs Says:

  177. Shelley Says:

  179. Patricia Stokley Says:

banana nut bread is one of my favorites

  180. Reggie Bibbs Says:

Yea Its always good. Never dry.

  181. John P Says:

Wednesday, Oct. 17 after getting off from work, sleep couple hours thinking of heading out to Oklahoma City, visit the Murrah Memorial site then on Thursday morning head out west on Route 66 ( all I need now is a convertible corvette) drive to Amarillo. Amarillo is home to the Big Texan Staeak house, where if you can eat a 4.5 lbs steak in a hour, maye its 2, it is free. I do not think I will go for that, I have hard time just to eat a 1 lb steak. Hope to take plenty pictures and want to see what a 4.5 pound steak look like. They tell me who ever tries it, have to paye the $72.00 before you eat it, I guess they want the money bofore you croke, get sick or die of a heart attack. Then if you do eat it all, you get a refund. I think I seen the paramedics park on the side of the building just in case.

  182. Reggie Bibbs Says:

Hew John, Make sure you tell us all about it. I don’t know if they will let you take a photo of it. I ate a large steak at the Taste Of Texas. It was suppose to be for two. Well It was for one. ME. Paying 75 bucks is a bummer, but I guess they can’t fill every one’s bellies that say they can eat a large stake. There is still a Route 66? I would like to see that. Have fun John.

Going from OKC to west as far as Arizona/California, it is mostly I40. In Oklahoma, you can find roads to the towns along the highway as Hist. 66, and one section in Oklahoma, I guess what we would call a frontage road along the Interstate, still call Route 66. All I have time for maybe to go as for as the Texas/New Mexico border. I need to get back to Dallas on Monday, Oct. 22 for the Denise Terrill Golf tournament. Some time later I may do the Route 66 trip from OKC to Tulsa. Did some research on the internet (Route 66), still some interesting sites to see, now a tourist attrations.

  184. Reggie Says:

Thanks for the info John. Look forward to see you on Monday.

  185. John P Says:

Wednesday, Oct. 17: I am up in Oklahoma City. A three hour drive from Dallas, took several hour nap after getting off from work, then headed out. Got here after 4pm, checked in the hotel, then drove out to the Oklahoma City Memorial (site of the Murrah Federal Building) where that person or persons blew up the building killing some 183 people and children. It was a very solem moment being there, hard to believe that someone could do such a thing, a Amerian doing this to other Americans. I stop here on my views. I wanted to get here to take advantage of the afternoon light (pictures) and will come back in the morning before I start to get my kicks on Route 66.

To #139, I have been thinking that when I go to my new Doc. on the 25, I just might print so NF Litature off the internet so I just give it them, when they ask, “You have what?”

  187. John P Says:

Thursday, Oct. 18: Left OKC this morning after going back to the Murrah Federal Building. Them started the journey on Route 66. Most of it is I40, but the frontage road part is the old Route 66. Can still see some of the old buildings, gas stations. Made it in to Amarillo early evening, check in then went to the Big Texan Steak Place. It was a pretty good steak. Tomorrow to finish the journey then head back to Irving.

  188. Reggie Bibbs Says:

To 186 Patricia yea I would have some information ready. That way you won’t have to wish you did it.

  189. John P Says:

Friday, Oct 19: Got up early this morning. Orginal plains were to drive to the Texas/New Mexico state line, decided I cam this far, instead went to Palo-Verda Canyon. I dreaded the 6 hours drive home, thats what I estimated, and it was just little over 6 hrs, including stoping for gas, and getting a bite to eat. Home now to rest up for Monday, the Denise Terrill Charity Classic – Golf.

  190. Shelley Says:

  195. Patricia Stokley Says:

Hey John T. What is Denise Terrill Charity, I work for TDCJ, and every Year during the months of Sep and Oct we have fund raisers for different organizations only thing the charity has to be on “the list of approved charity”, NF is not on that list, most years I am on that committe, and we have all kinds of functions to raise monies for different organizations, provided they are on “the list” so this year my department, (classification and records) have risen over $6,000 and we have one more big event. Our goal this year was $5000. Good Luck to you and have fun

  196. Reggie Bibbs Says:

The Denise Terrill Charity Event is a golf tournament (event) to raise funds for NF and MD Anderson hospital. Denise Terrill is a very good friend of mine and to everyone who has NF. She also has a daughter that has NF. I will post a link to her site.

  197. John Says:

Denise Terrill Charity Classic: In August, is the Tennis Classic, doing this since 1996 (1st year) and the Golf got started in 2002 I believe.

  198. John Says:

Reggie, today is beautiful, sunny and in the 60s. What a difference a day makes, as you know chilly and wet.

  199. Reggie Bibbs Says:

Yea I know. I told Susan the weather would be great.

  200. Shelley Says:

    Glad yall had fun

  201. John Says:

In August when they had the Tennis, it was hot. Unless the lucky ones, they got to play inside in a ac court. Now, this year for golf was wet and cilly. This was my 2nd time able to attend the golf, first time was the first one in 2002. The golf will be about the same time next year, and the tennis will be in August.
