Reggie’s Meeting at Lou’s Office
Today, Lou and I had a meeting about the blog, website and future plans. Everything went Terrific!
While at STANANDLOU, we took a few pictures after the meeting. I’m looking forward to the exciting things we have planned for the website. Of course, I came up with most of the ideas so don’t give Lou all the credit.
Anyway, I will be heavily involved helping the Texas Neurofibromatosis Foundation with their search for a cure for NF. I want to help with their events for 2008. I know I will go to the NF camp this summer.
If you are a regular on my blog, it might be a good idea to start spreading the word about the blog to your friends that have NF. The blog is a good place to find out about upcoming events and also just to share information and have fun, too!
I think people have fun here even if they don’t have NF. Just ask Shelley, Arthur and Lou. Never mind, don’t ask Lou!!!

Nah Reggie I am waiting to do the hard part the stuff I am getting ready to do is clean some parts the hard part is pulling the rear wheels off to get some tires put on and the other hard part is seperating the front frame to put a good front frame on it but I am waiting on the till I have some help

Hi Shelly, What project are you working on now, I am still working on my camo king size blanket, I got about 3 more feet to go. Lou and I was able to get CTF to add The Texas NF Foundation to it’s site, which in turn will lead them my site. If I don’t have a link to the sites you mention I will check the site out and get with my team and make that happen.

I did check out the CTF site, did had to play around, a number of clicks, to get to it. Be easier if there is something on the front page to point to it, but thats just my thoughts.

Hi Guyes, I can’t get to youtube at work, they block for some reason, sometimes people say things cause they are upset for some reason, Right now i am upset with MD Anderson I know that is an awsome hosptial and they do awesome work, but they don’t accept my mother in laws insurance and it upsets me so I am not happy with them right now. I don’t know what that person said, I guess I have to wait and look at it when I get home tonight, Sometimes We have to say things and call people things to get that off our chest, I have called people a lot worse then what you said, Reggie, I am really curius on what that a$$ said now, I don’t know why they have to block certain sites at work????? They act like we are suppose to work or something.

UTMB is a good hosptital too. and it is in Galveston, She lives in Galveston, she loves that place. I promised her I would keep her there as long as I could humanly possible I would fight all three of her sons my husband included and I would just pray and make arrangements with my job for a leave of absence if I had to. She use to live off of 242, she sold that house and moved to Galveston about 7 years ago and she has been so happy there, I will do what ever I can to keep her there, right now it is about her and keeping her happy and comfortable.

You think that once we get to adulthood, ignorance would be smaller, but it seems like it grows like egos, when I was young people would make fun of the way I talked. I had to go to speach therapy for years my tongue is deformed (NF), plus my hearing is not all that great. With age comes more complications and reactions from people ingorance and FEAR. Fear of the unknown, not knowning what this disease is. Is it contagious? Why do we have it? How did it happen? Some people are truely scared. Some peoople are just *&^&^()&. Reggie I am so sorry what he said I wished I could take it back, I wished I could take away every mean thing that was ever said to you. Shelley, you don’t have to NF to have your feeling hurt, by mean people. I was told to pray for the people that was mean to you. I know what you ment, Yal know what my first reaction was. I have calmed down a little bit. But I am still mad at that jerk.

I dont get to go to Starbucks very often so I settle for the next best thing – I buy Starbucks coffee at the store and brew it myself! It was cold this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not so bad right now, I had to make a run to the store for lunch and it was ok, the sun is out in Huntsville so that is a good thing.

It was cold this morning here in Dallas. I went out to start the car, it would not start. Could it be my 7 year battery? I only had it for seven years 1 week and 2 days. I decided to get a replacement since more cold days are coming.

John P, seven years is good, how many miles, we usally go thru a car in about 4-5 years, but I drive an EASY 400 a week just to go to work, and only to work and that would be to work only work with no fun and I have to have a little fun. So it is really a lot more then 400 miles a weeek.

I have temporarily changed the name of the blog from nf cafe to neurofibromatosis cafe. I wanted to see if it makes a difference in Google searches for neurofibromatosis. I think it will. If it does, I say the name should stay. If it doesn’t, than nf cafe is pretty darn good. Google “neurofibromatosis blogs” and I think you will be very pleasantly surprised. Reggie’s blog is pretty much “the blog for neurofibromatosis.” And it’s all because of Patricia, Brian, Shelley, Emily, Reggie and everyone who contributes to the blog. Everyone, please take a bow!

Either way is fine, however, may get more hits on Neurofibromatosis, NF only ones that usues it is us. A new person to Neurofibromatosis may not know the NF short name. Speaking of… This is not the first occurence this has happen. I have a tumor like on or near my heart. Only pain is that it pinches. Two years ago when this happen, I was sent to a heart doctor, which I went through the test, came out fine and they said it is a tumor. This happened again and my neurologist want me to see the heart doctor again which will be later this week. Any one hear or know anything like this? Anyway…

I am doin good and how are you and everyone else? My 7yo has had a fever for 2 days and didnt go to school for 2 days already this week so yesterday I took him to the dr. and it was just a viral infection and as you know they couldnt do anything for it except give hime something for the coughing and man does it knock him out QUICK!!! also a word of advise to all who have young kids dont give Dimetap cuz it makes them SUPER HYPER!!! That child just purely drove me insane for a couple of days… but that dont take much to do that…lol and my 21yo is also bein a butt tryin to start stuff. If I didnt know better I would think he was 9 or something the way he has been actin lately. Anyway thats what I have been up to, how bout yall? TTYL
