Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and weekend. I drove 2 hours west of Dallas, north of Palo Pinto to a ranch that 6 miles north of town. Spent two evenings in a bunk house, glad I had a seperate room from the horses, awww-the early morning aroma. Being in a city, hardly ever see the stars at night. View Venus and Jupiter and even saw the Milky Way (not the candy bar), hearing the cries of the coyottes at night.

Lisa,
That would be great if you could keep us up to date on your presentation and I know everyone here on the blog would be very happy to share any information they have on NF. Two great places to go for more info are ctf.org and texasnf.org. Good luck with your studies and I hope you come back soon and often! Lou

Hi Lisa,

Thank you for adding to my blog. I hope you will find my site helpful in your studies. Please visit and post comments often!

I feel that there are a lot of promising studies in finding treatment and a cure for nf. I feel that my neices and nephews have more hope then we have ever had before. For that, I am thankful.

Hello Reggie,
I am a nurse anesthesia student at The University of Alabama in Birmingham. I am working on a group presentation on neurofibromatosis. I have been searching the web for pictures to put into my presentation and you keep popping up!! I felt compelled to send you a message...not because I need your picture, but to let you know how much I admire you for the work you are doing to help educate people about NF.
As a pediatric nurse, I had not heard of NF until I started an IV on a young girl with NF. She is the reason I chose NF as my topic. If I had not heard of it, then surely most of my classmates have not heard of it and will find it helpful in the future when we are practicing anesthesia. I hope that my presentation will help atleast 60 people in the anesthesia world be aware and have a better understanding on how to manage anesthesia for those with NF in the future! Take care and God Bless!!

You know there is always the Rack. That should give you a good stretch. I'm thinking that would be just the thing for me.
