Hope everyone had a good fourth. Does Texas do fireworks? If so, are they nice?

  2. JohnP Says:

Of course Texas does fire works. Living in Dallas area, almost each subs (Irving, Grand Prairie, Arlington, Grapevine, etc) each does fireworks, so if you can find the right poistion, there could be fire works going off all around you. Thanks for the contribritue to our soldiers. I like to dedicate to my father (1918-2004), served in the Army Air Corps/Air Force – WWll, Korea and Vietnam.

Hats off to george Washington who as commander in chief of our Continental Army overcame great adversity to defeat the British and make America free. There wasn’t anybody who could have handled the situation better.

Hey I still haven’t seen anyone on the blog today.

Here is one for everyone to weak up to when they come to the blog. Question? I’m sure all of us have bought Reynolds Wrap or other brands of aluminum foil or plastic wrap. Lou is thinking what does this have to do with the blog topic. And I say, well if you really want to split hairs. Anyway. I want to know how many knew about the tabs on both ends of the foil that are made to push in lock tabs. It keep the roll from falling out when you are ripping foil from the roll.

  8. Lei Says:

Lol dude that is so random.
…..and I’m the one who would pull out the aluminum foil to try and see what you’re talking about…lol

  9. lou Says:

Reggie, you are a fountain of useless information. Thank you!

  10. reggiebibbs Says:

Comment 8 Lei, we talk about anything on the blog, not always sticking to the topic. Comment 9, that’s right Lou speak your heart. Better then hearing about you and your goats. God only know where that will lead us.

I remember I was in Paris on Bastille Day in 1993. Never forget the jets flying over the Champs-Elysées as millions welcomed Rie and I back from Amsterdam. I mean what else could it have been as we arose from the underground Metro to put greeted by all these drunk Frenchies yelling and screaming something about “Vive le France” and “Mort aux Américains.” Needless to say, I was deeply touched!

  14. reggiebibbs Says:

And as I feel the same, just by reading the story. Please tell us more, while I jag hot daggers in my eyes. :)

  15. Lei Says:

    Can I do it?

  16. reggiebibbs Says:

And take all the fun out of it? You can do it the next time.

  17. Lei Says:

You’re going to buy new eyes to replaced the jabbed ones?! You have eye money?! Where can I get me some of that?

  18. reggiebibbs Says:

Yeah, you can pick those up at any second hand store. I do it all the time.

  19. Lei Says:

    Reggie, what’s for dinner?

  20. JohnP Says:

When I was living in France/Germany for four years, I was just a kid then. WWll was not to far back in history, was able to hear stories and experiences that the people living in those countries can tell. While traveling out side of USA or USA military base in Europe, it always felt good to be back home or on US soil (where there was a American Flag flying).

  21. adgiant Says:

Prairie Home Companion did a piece on that yesterday. Living outside the US just aint living.

  22. yourmom Says:

    Hi Lei,
I am Shana, AKA your mom. Great to see you on the board. You are great. Thanks for adding some spice on here. Lou and Reggie get pretty lame sometimes.

#10 For the record, Lou is the one who manages to bring every conversation right back to farm animals.

#1-21 I would just like to say, as much as some Americans like to diss on America, they need to travel to different counties and see how others live. Nothing makes me appreciate America more than traveling and seeing how great we have it here.

    19. Yeah Reggie, what are you cooking us for dinner? Remember Kolby and Madeline are very picky eaters.

  23. Boyer-Madrieres. Francis Says:

    Dear adgiant
I’m very very sad about that you said. Unhappily we can not prevent stupid, silly persons to talk nosense… All french think as me. So when I think americans I don’t think Ku klux klan. I think to intersting peoples and in your country I’m sure to find lot of interesting citiizens (c’est la majorité, j’oublie la toute petite minorité qui existe hélas dans le monde entier) Many apology for thes french words but I DO want to be undeerstand!
Come back to my coutry, you always be weilcome. I’m sure you’ll find friendship. Kind regards Francis
