Houston Roller Derby, Saltgrass Steak House and the Discovery Channel Rule!
Sunday, June 20th, 2010Tonight was very special as the Discovery Channel was in town filming a documentary about Reggie. Thanks to our dear friends at Saltgrass Steak House, the Psych Ward Sirens and all of our friends at the Houston Roller Derby, for making this an evening Reggie will never forget!
Toni Niece, of Saltgrass Steak House, gave us permission to shoot some interviews at their restaurant on I-10 @ Campbell Road. Thank you, Toni, the restaurant was perfect, the food excellent and the staff incredible! Our waiter, Chris, was outstanding and took wonderful care of us. Also, thank you for the delicious appetizers! That was completely unnecessary but totally appreciated!

Tremendous Nite at the Houston Roller Derby, 5/14/10
Sunday, May 16th, 2010What a great night at the Roller Derby. Please meet my new friends in the photos above. The friends above made the night special f. I don’t remember the little girls name in the photo. She was specially nice, and caring. Seem to be concern about me. I hope she knows that because of her and her Dad and friends I had a terrific night. Thank you for asking about nf, and for taking a photo with me.
Of course it is always fun watching all the roller derby action. All of the teams are good at what they do, Roller Derby, a good place for anyone to go, and get treated as if, you of you are the champs. All the teams treat the fans as if we are playing. Hats off to all of the HRD for treating the so special.
Houston Roller Derby this Saturday, 4/17/10!
Friday, April 16th, 2010Hot, sweaty roller derby action is back at Kicks and Lou and I are going this Saturday! Sure will miss some of the skaters that retired last year but look forward to meeting the new skaters who are taking their place.
I love Houston Roller Derby! The women who skate are tough on the outside but are the sweetest, most wonderful people on the inside. Every time I go, they make me feel like I’m the most important person in the world!

Friday, June 19th, 2009
Fans, we so appreciate you. Last night was such an exciting night of play that ended in a way none of us could have expected. We are so sorry for the inconvenience and the disappointment of the night ending short. It was a huge let-down for us as well, and HRD is working with Kicks to figure out how to handle the situation. Hold onto your tickets and check back here for updated information.
Please come back and see us! We love and need our fans!
If you have any questions, please contact us at webmaster@houstonrollerderby.com
The fire marshall shut us down in the middle of the second bout! Too many people!!!!!! A testimony to the fact that Houston Roller Derby is rapidly gaining a following. Maybe we need to petition the city to build us an arena.

Today Lo
u and I went out to the Houston Roller Derby Crawfish Boil to help support the HRD. We had a great time supporting our friends. They have been really supportive to Neurofibromatosis, I want to help support them for everything they are doing for us. And because they are so wonderful!
I also met a lot of new friends as well. Everyone I met tonight had the oppertunity to JUST ASK about NF, which is hard to do when at the derby. This was a great way to spread awareness of NF. Great friends and a very super time. Enjoy the photos we have posted. Leave comments on the blog and photos as well.
See you at the Roller Derby!
