It’s that time again. National Doodle Day. This is the 3rd year that I happy to help with getting the word out about doodle day. A few of my friends, Kevin Nealon,and some of Kevin’s friends gave turned in doodles. Also my friend Sugar Ray Leonard helped again this year as well. To make sure all the information is correct, I have all the information from the website. I’m happy to do my part by passing information to you.

As part of NF Awareness month, celebrity doodles are available for auction on eBay during May. These doodles have a very important aim: the funds they raise will benefit NF, Inc., an organization dedicated to providing support to individuals and families affected by neurofibromatosis (NF).

For those of you new to this website, neurofibromatosis is a genetic disorder that affects one in every 2,500 births. NF is more common than Cystic Fibrosis, Muscular Dystrophy and Huntington’s Disease combined. Funds raised from the Doodle Day auction will go to support education, advocacy, coalitions, and research for treatments and a cure. To learn more about NF, please visit www.nfinc.org. I got the surprise of my life today. Well it shouldn’t have surprised me. Sugar Ray has always been a supporter of my work in JUST ASK.  Sugar Ray wrote me.  He said, he needs a new Just Ask t-shirt, so he can continue to wear my shirt and help spread awareness of neurofibromatosis when he travels to other countries.  This is great to have someone as famous as Sugar Ray Leonard to be involved with making a difference in the  JUST ASK! campaign.  Sugar Ray always ends his notes by calling me the Champ. Sugar Ray is the real Champ!

Guess who is wearing one of my JUST ASK! t-shirts?

You probably already know from the photo you see here. Yes my friend Sugar Ray Leonard. I was so happy when Ray ordered one of my t-shirts. He told me he would be proud to send me a picture of himself wearing my shirt. He kept his word and I have the pictures to prove it. I have known Ray for a long time and he is always supporting my in everything I have done. Imagine someone as famous as him supporting my efforts in NF awareness. He’ll always be the “Champ” in my eyes!

Lou and I are in the middle of what I thought would be a very difficult task: asking celebrities, artists and friends to draw a doodle for National Doodle Day benefiting NF!

Well, I’m happy to say it was very easy thanks to some very special friends! With the help of some special people who want a cure for NF as much as I do, friends from all over the country whipped out their writing instruments and doodled for NF. Some of them you may know like Sugar Ray Leonard. (SEE DOODLE ABOVE LEFT)

Some are friends of my friend, Lou. A big thank you to Lou and all of you who played a big part in this effort to Knock Out NF Once and for all. Take time to see all the doodles on my photo page and go the National NF Doodle Day website!

All doodles will be posted shortly onto ebay where you will be able to bid on your favorite NF doodle!!!
